this is a leaflet i found on my car windscreen amongst many leaflets promoting hong kong restaurants and tau foo fa with glutinous rice balls. what stood out with this leaflet is the promise of a "WIDE RANGE OF BRANDED" items. granted...there are many shops such as FOS and FJB that sells branded stuff at a lower price...probably because the items are in some way defected or because its old stocks that cannot be cleared. so upon further investigation of the leaflet...i stumbled upon the address and the name of the shop.
it is so aptly called...THE REPLICA SHOPPE! they might as well plaster a sign across the leaflet saying "all items are fake". the word Shoppe adds a nice touch though. the middle english term for shop that describes a 'quaint little shop'. makes it sound more appealing i suppose.

or maybe they blatantly want to be known as a fake goods store? but even so...what can they possibly gain from being openly straight forward about it? or maybe its just bad publicity...
