my life so far

so hsx.com is taking up most of my time when i'm back home....
my friends and family fill up the other half...
which leaves me with no time to sleep...but it's all good fun.

things to look forward to:

- pub quiz on the 6th of dec
- narnia and king kong
- the arrival of her princess bitchiness on the 1st of dec
- christmas and new years

i'm trying to get all my friends to participate in pub quiz....
for those who have no idea what it is just go to Orange in hartamas on tuesday nights...
tuesday nights is the night for the nerd in me to get my high :P

seems like tis the season for weddings....
cousins and family friends getting married left and right...
that's probably cause they're at that age....
my friends aren't reaching their expiry dates anytime soon so i don't foresee myself attending any weddings of friends yet....
but i am hoping to sometime soon though...i've already gotten a dress all picked up and ironed for the first friend who gets hitched :)

some days i feel as if i wanna stay in singapore till october 2006...
other days i wanna come back as soon as my contract expires in april 2006....
i'm torn....
but at the end of the day i'll probably end up staying till october...
it's the responsible me that wants to stay and see the kids through the 2006 exams...
so i do it for the kids *ahem*

so a year has came and gone....that was quick...
i've been away for a year and a half...that was quick...
i have another year to go in singapore...hopefully that would be quick too...
then again...who knows what the year might bring...
i might actually like it there and decide to stay a little longer...
then again.....nah....i belong here :P

i'm officially 24+ now...but i'll always be 18 :)
or maybe 21 since gambling is a part of my life...
i don't exactly think i've achieved much in those 24 years...
all i did was have fun and go wild....
didn't make much money...didn't make any fruitful investments...not anywhere near getting married...didn't become famous....
i'm still the same person i was before...maybe i've changed my hair and wardrobe a bit...
maybe i'm a more honest and straight forward person....
but i'm still her royal bitchiness...
some things just won't change...even with time...

gil grissom once said "people often confuse an obsession with sexuality with an obsession with sex"....
first of all...being able to quote gil grissom who's a fictional character in a dying series just goes to show how much of a nerd i am...
but if you think about it...it does ring true...

we often assume that trans-gendered people are such because they have an obsession with sex....
when in fact they are such 'just because'....
we all watch the same tv shows...we all see the same things on the streets....
trans-gendered people soliciting on the road sides....
trans-gendered people becoming show girls...
trans-gendered people on display in a semi-circus act...
we assume that they're all like that when in fact its just the minority...

sometimes i feel sorry for those people...
it's not easy for them to be able to go out in public and not be afraid...
they are mocked...insulted...made fun of....
but still there are those who can hold their head up and persevere...
i have a new found respect for them...
in the end...they are still human...they might be confused...but who isn't....

anyway....i've been having a blast in KL....
eating all the good food before i leave tomorrow....
i notice i eat more during the 2 days that i'm here than i do in a week in singapore...
hence...i will award malaysia with another 20 points...cause food is definitely a major plus...

random observations

so i made a couple of observations recently....

there was a billboard somewhere along the sungei besi highway that had amber chia on it and the words "imej" and "inspirasi"....
i'm not exactly sure what advertisement it was or what message it was trying to send out...
all i could think of was "inspirasi"...
is she an inspiration? really?

if you're ever at the bangsar lrt station...go visit the bus stop...
there's a sign on one of the pillars that says "pil no.1 di dunia"....
apparently it's some pill that helps men with their "barang" so that they can "berjuang dengan isteri"....
those are the words they used....
oh...and to make things more dodgy...there's a number for you to call....but not really call...
you're supposed to "missed call" the number if you're interested....
talk about dodgy...

there's this other place at the KTM station that i saw about a year ago on one of my trips back...
there's a sign in front of a little hotel/motel that says "massage...for men only"...
could it get more obvious than that...
if they're trying to be subtle....they really topped the cake on that one....
they might as well have lined up half naked chicks with price tags on their foreheads....

there's a funfair going on next to 1 utama...
for some strange reason i'm attracted to the bright lights and the lure of gifts...
went there the last time i was back and bagged myself a teddy bear and a mug...which by the way is a sure win so you definitely won't go home empty handed...
there are still a couple of games i'd like to try....so i'm planning on going back to try my luck tonight....
they're open till the 20th of november...so they say...

finally....malaysia sucks in the movie department...
the cinemas here just don't screen enough variety....
so i have to say...singapore gets another 10 points...

so i realized yesterday that i'm a 100% N.E.R.D. i carry a lovatts crossword puzzle in my bag everywhere i go. anyway...was out playing 'taboo' last night with some friends. we actually made our own taboo cards cause we ran out.

woke up with a back ache...neck ache...stomach ache...head ache and a sore throat. i'm not exactly the healthiest person i know. i think it's due to the fact that i don't have a bed to sleep on when i'm in KL. so i guess singapore gets another 10 points for "comfy-ness".

happy november :P

so i'm back for a couple of days. not as long as i'd like but unfortunately for me...singapore isn't a muslim country. hence i only get a holiday on hari raya itself. it's back to work on friday...then saturday...then sunday...it's a vicious cycle. i envy those who are off for the rest of the week...more so those people who took monday off. excellent planning.

40 year old virgin is an excellent watch. too bad for the sorry people in malaysia who won't be able to catch it in the cinemas cause our censorship board believes that there's no room for anything that might lead people to think about sex or violence or better yet...both of them together. they want to desensitize us into thinking that the world is all blue skies and smiles. so we're left to watch crappy movies such as 'sound of thunder'. i can name a lot of other crappy movies but i'm biased and i have high expectations.

ok so that's a plus point for singapore. and i'm a movie buff so it's a very good plus point. singapore gets 20 points for that.

but malaysia automatically gets 50 points cause all my friends and family are here.
