let the games begin....

the time has come for fun and games. money will be lost...money will be made. bring on the ang pow's and pineapple tarts...late night gambling sessions...mandarin oranges. enjoy the company of friends and family.

it felt like only last week that i thought to myself "3 more months till chinese new year...WOOHOO!!!". that was quick. but alas...my chinese new year celebrations will only last for 5 days as i will be returning to the land of non familiar faces and places.

anyway...a few things that i noted down during my week away:-

- a lady and her kid went to the public toilet at a shopping mall and her kid just stood there in the middle of the cubicle and pissed on the floor. the kid did not have any intention of depositing urine into the bowl. i've always wondered how piss gets around the toilet bowl and onto the floor...now i know. and the kid did this with the door opening while the mom casually asks him (yes...it's a HIM in ladies toilet) to hurry up. even after that...she didn't bother to hose it down even when there was a nice little high tech contraption provided to hose unwanted stuff down the drain. some people really have NO MANNERS!!!!! btw...this was in MALAYSIA

- went to guardian with a guy friend today. he bought hair gel...i bought pantyliners. is it true that guys have no idea what pantyliners are and what they are used for? ignorance is really bliss.

- couldn't sleep on the bus yesterday. this guy next to me was talking to this other girl about careers and stuff. he said...and i quote..."those who can do...will do. those who can't do...will teach". what the f***!!!! i feel insulted....but i was too tired to say anything and i didn't want to cause a stir at the lower deck. i wouldn't want to wish anything unfortunate upon him but i do hope that one day...someone will 'teach' him otherwise. now that i look back i should've said something...not for myself but for teachers everywhere...hehe :)

- europe has an identity crisis? immigrants are being treated badly...arabs/middle easterns are being stereotyped. honestly...i'm not surprised. humans have a strange way of reacting to things. they like to blame the people by association. osama caused 9/11...therefore..anyone who is associated with him...whether it be by nationality/religion/physical appearance/name will be blamed. ah wong beat up ah leong...there for anyone who is associated with ah leong will despise ah wong and anyone associated with ah wong. catch my drift....

anyway...once again...happy chinese new year. may the new year bring everyone happiness and prosperity :)

and if not....tough luck :P
