and the winner is...

i know this is a bit delayed. my connection was down for awhile but it miraculously fixed itself. technology these days...never cease to surprise me.

so brokeback mountain won best drama and walk the line won best musical/comedy at the golden globes. both movies that i have yet to watch. johnny depp didn't win best actor award which btw...really disappoints me. but i shall not be biased...*ahem*. maybe joaquim (never knew how to spell it or pronounce it right) pheonix really deserved the award. since i have not watched walk the line i shall try not to make premature judgements.

anyway...wasn't supposed to return from singapore this time around. i meant to do some house cleaning and last minute shopping for chinese new year over my two day break. then i fell sick...was on medical leave for 2 days...which gave me a total of 4 days off. so knowing me and my inability to sit still i decided to come back. so i guess my house cleaning and last minute chinese new year shopping ain't gonna happen this year.

over the past month i've managed to watch a couple of movies. some were hits but most were misses or near misses i should say. do try to catch 'jarhead'...only if it is to see jake gyllenhaal in some pretty compromising outfits. nothing else worth mentioning. constant gardener was something i was looking forward to but i guess i had great expectations for that movie...with all the hype and all...and it just missed the mark. i'm still looking forward to 'lord of war' and 'brokeback mountain'.

ooh...there are a couple of shows coming up at the actors studio that i highly recommend. harith iskandar's stand up is playing next week. actorlympics are on again sometime towards the end of the february. then there's a jap comedy in march which sounds interesting.
