i was looking for someone to frame a poster for me and i needed it fast. word on the street is that someone at pudu is able to do it at a reasonable price and within a day. so naturally...i called them.
me: hello...is this *bleep out name of establishment*
stranger: ah ya!
me: i'd like to enquire about your aluminium frames and clear glass windows
stranger: err.....*long pause*....you boleh cakap melayu ke?
me: ok. boleh saya cakap dengan seorang yang boleh cakap bahasa inggeris?
stranger: tunggu ya.....

lady: hello?
me: yes. i'd like to get more information about your frames.
lady: errrr.....awak boleh cakap melayu tak?

its probably my fault anyway for not being able to speak the language. but if you're planning to run a business....please lah have someone that can speak english.
